Lush Vineyard Motif Art Nouveau Locket

Enchanting Art Nouveau lockets, just in time for The Holidays. This glossy gold-filled locket is embellished with a lush vineyard motif. Repoussé metal work creates a bas-relief grape leaf framed in undulating vines. A sparkling white paste stone represents each grape, the cluster nestling into the heart of the exquisitely sculpted leaf. The locket's back is hand engraved with the monogram "HMR." The interior is nice and clean, with two intact frames and a tight clasp. One of the frames is marked "W&SB Co." This piece hangs on a long vintage gold-filled rope chain. Circa 1890.

W. & S. Blackinton Co. of North Attleboro, MA, was founded by brothers William and Sumner Blackinton. W&S Blackinton produced a variety of beautiful objects from 1871 to 1966.

Details.....The chain is 24" long, and the locket measures 1.17" in diameter. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
