Fascinating Mexican Modernist ring from the enigmatic artist, Celia Harms. A heavy, flat, sterling silver band wraps around the finger, holding two golden orbs together in tension at the top of the ring. The vermeil spheres sit in the band's curved shoulders, peeking though round windows in the silver. Contrasts in warm and cool tones, and between two and three-dimensional forms, create a sculptural statement piece. The interior of the ring is signed "Celia Harms Sterling Mexico 925." The internet provides many images of Harm's fabulous jewels, but has revealed no biographical information about the woman herself. Circa 1960.

Details.....An approximate size 5. It cannot be sized. The top of the ring measures 19.8mm by 12mm, and the band is 6mm wide. The orbs measure 9.7mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
