This sterling silver locket is a lovely example of Mid Victorian fashion, large silver lockets were very à la mode for daytime wear at this time. The handsome oval locket is engraved with a ring of shamrocks, front and back. Its interior is in good, clean condition, without frames or glass. The locket is displayed on a long black velvet ribbon; however, its generous bale allows it to be easily worn on a chain or watch hook. Circa 1860.
Details.....The locket measures 1.25" across and 2.15" long with bale. In Very Good Antique Condition. In vintage and antique pieces small imperfections are to be expected and considered part of their charm.
