Fabulous Oversized Corsage Brooch by Hagler N.Y.C.

A fabulous oversized corsage brooch signed "Stanley Hagler N.Y.C." This lush piece resembles an exuberant nosegay gathered from a snowball tree. Lacy 3-D brass blossoms are encrusted with sparkling white rhinestones. Delicate brass leaves and buds compliment the twinkling bouquet. This brooch is a true statement piece, its size, weight and extra long rollover pin make it ideal for wear on a coat or heavy jacket. While the maker's mark dates the piece to the early 1980s, it's hard to believe this isn't one of Haglers early works from the 1960s.

Stanley Hagler got his start working for Miriam Haskell and went on to build his own studio making large, elaborate and highly collectible pieces. This brooch bears the maker's mark used in Hagler's original studio, between 1980 - 1996.
