Beautiful blue lapis lazuli...a favorite of the Romans and Egyptians. Lapis was so revered it is often found among the burial goods with Egyptian mummies.
A wire-wrapped pendant of ancient lapis beads hangs on a gold filled cable chain. The lapis's rough-hewn texture indicates its great age. A segment of tiny handmade silver beads punctuates the chain with contrasting color and texture. The vintage and ancient beads are all from my personal collection.
Details.....The necklace is 22" long. The pendant measures 1.25" by .36, the beaded segment measures 1.75" by 1.3mm.
All of the items in the Ancient Influences Collection collection are made using vintage bits & pieces. Small imperfections are to be considered part of their charm.
