Dark Sparkle Rhinestone Necklace by Schiaparelli

This sultry necklace is signed for the iconic fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli. Silver-tone links are set with clusters of tilde-shaped black glass stones. Gray Aurora Borealis accent stones compliment the somber black gems and add a healthy measure of that irresistible Dark Sparkle we adore. The choker-length necklace fastens with a hook and fancy link extender chain. Beautifully made, the stones are all prong set in the supple links. One of the links is signed "Schiaperelli" on its back. Circa 1950.

Elsa Schiaparelli was a prominent Italian fashion designer. In 1927, she created the house of Schiaparelli in Paris, which she managed from the 1930s to the 1950s. She was celebrated for her surreal designs. Schiap, as she was often known, collaborated with Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, and Coco Chanel was her greatest rival.

Details.....The necklace is 11.75" long, 17" with extender chain. It measures .92" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
