A double strand of jade-colored Peking glass beads. The beads are strung on green silk, and finished with a filigreed sterling silver box clasp. Peking glass is a form of Chinese glassware that originated in 18th century Peking, China. It was originally used in the fabrication of glass snuff bottles, while we often see this material used in Art Deco era beads and bangles. Circa 1920.
Details.....The necklace is 19" long, the beads measure 9.7mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
