This chubby little Corn Maiden pendant was carved from what seems to be sandstone painted to resemble pipe stone. She has a silver wire bale strung with turquoise and coral beads that hangs from a modern sterling silver cable chain. She has a tiny sticker that reads "Anthony Tarpin Navajo" on her bum. Circa 1990.
Across Native American cultures, the Corn Maidens symbolize the prayers of the people for a bountiful harvest.
