This unusual ankh pendant feels like a potent talisman. The symbol is cast in sterling silver with a sculptural Modernist design, it feels solid and strong in the hand. The intersection of the ankh's loop and cross is heavily wrapped in silver wire. A large bale suspends the pendant from a vintage sterling silver curb chain. Circa 1970.
The ankh is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that represents life, the cycle of death and rebirth, immortality, and divine protection.
Details.....The chain is 18" long, the pendant measures .92" by 1.90". In Very Good Vintage Condition. Small imperfections are to be expected and are considered part of the charm.
