Silver Tribal Necklace with Copal and Coins

A striking tribal necklace with a large pendant of copal and Arabic coins. The pendant is a long silver drop embellished with wirework, engraving, and silver beading. Bright orange copal is set in the top of the pendant and its base, hidden within a fringe of coins and silver beads. The pendant hangs on a low-grade silver chain of wire-wrapped links. An interesting piece that is highly detailed with lots of movement. Circa 1920.

Copal is hardening (nearly amber) tree resin. Hardened, but not fully fossilized. Copal is usually found in subtropical countries.

Details.....The necklace is 26" long, and the pendant measures 1" by 6". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewelry; we consider it part of the charm.
