This little camphor glass ring is quite unusual, with the glass set in three colors of 10k gold. The rectangular panel of softly beveled glass is held in green gold tabs pierced and scalloped to resemble leaves. The tabs are placed at the ring's cardinal points, securing the glass in the rose gold gallery. Rose gold shoulders are sculpted with flowers, tapering into a slim band. A square white gold plaque sits in the center of the glass; the plaque is set with a small round diamond and is embellished top and bottom with rose gold flourishes. This is a very sweet ring; the rose and green gold bring an unexpected warmth to the frosty camphor glass. Circa 1920.

Camphor glass was a popular material used in Art Deco jewelry. It was created by exposing clear glass to hydrofluoric acid fumes to create an opaque, frosted effect.

Details.....The ring is currently a size 6. It may be sized up or down two sizes for a fee. The top of the ring measures 12.3mm by 16mm, and the band is 1.5mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
