Art Nouveau Amethyst & Pearl Necklace by Blank & Co.

A dainty Art Nouveau necklace featuring a pendant of curling 14k gold, set with amethyst and pearl. The creamy pearl offers a delicate counterpoint to the amethyst's brilliant purple hue. This pendant is a conversion jewel, re-purposed from a stick pin into a pendant, the decorative element hangs on a modern 14k recycled gold rope chain. Stamped on the back with Blank & Co.'s "Cresarrow" maker's mark. Circa 1900.

Founded in 1890, Henry Blank & Co. manufactured a wide variety of jewels and watches for nearly a century. Blank was a passenger on the Titanic; he survived the disaster, but his wife never allowed him to travel without her again He remained president until his death in 1949, and his four sons then managed the company until it closed its doors in 1986.

Details.....The chain is 18" long and the pendant measures .60" by .55". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
