A tasteful Arts & Crafts bar pin, crafted by Charles Horner. The pin is an elongated sterling silver navette, pierced with an oval of lacy honeycomb wirework. A round blister pearl is applied to the wire; vining leaves grow out from the glossy white pearl. The brooch fastens with the c-clasp common to the era. Hallmarked for Chester, and is stamped with the maker's mark "CH" for Charles Horner. Circa 1910.

The Arts and Crafts movement was a response to the decline in production standards associated with the Industrial Revolution; its philosophy centered craftsmanship and quality materials. This influential movement originated in the British Isles during the late Victorian period, reforming the design and manufacture of everything from buildings to jewelry.

Details.....The brooch measures 2" by .38". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
