This multi hued jade carving features a Lotus in its various stages of growth, there is a bat with its wings spread at the very top of the pendant in a protective position as if holding the good fortune in the pendant itself. The Lotus represents rebirth and spiritual enlightenment, bats represent good fortune, prosperity and happiness. The carving is topped with a decorative 14k gold bale. Circa 1950.
