Dramatic Bolo Style Noh Mask Necklace by Selro

A dramatic bolo-style Devil Necklace featuring the White Devil Mask from Selro. The White Devil, or Noh Okina mask, is inspired by the happy old man mask used in Japanese Noh dramas. The thermoplastic mask slides on a heavy, gold-tone herringbone chain. Two smaller masks hang on the chain's ends. Green cabochon and magenta faceted rhinestones accent the masks. The piece fastens with a decorative folding clasp. Signed "Selro Corp." in several places. These pieces were produced in small numbers and are very collectible. Circa 1960.

Selro Costume Jewelry was established in the late 1940s by Paul Selenger. The company was known for its unusual designs and Asian or African figural pieces.
