A Victorian gold filled slide chain, with an Etruscan Revival slide and a watch hook. The elaborate little pearl-set slide moves easily on an extra long rope chain. A slide chain is a long, thin chain with a slide and a watch hook. The slide glides on the chain and stays where you put it. The swiveling hook displays charms and/or functions as a clasp. So versatile, this chain can be doubled for a shorter look or arranged as a swag. Circa 1860.
Details.....The chain is 50" long, the slide measures .37" by .47", and the hook is .70" long. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
