Fabulous Eisenberg Original Sterling & Crystal Dress Clip

A fabulous oversized dress clip from Eisenberg Original with dazzling Swarovski crystals set in sterling silver. The shield-shaped clip is pierced, engraved, and set with small white crystals and large marquise cuts. Exquisitely constructed, each marquise stone is individually prong set. The brooch is backed with a hinged clip (kind of like a bookmark) that fastens onto the edge of a piece of fabric. Signed on the back "Eisenberg Original." Circa 1930s.

Eisenberg & Sons is an esteemed American jewelry company that makes high-quality costume jewelry. Jonas Eisenberg established the company in Chicago in 1914, offering high-end womenswear. But, it was the clothing's ornate buttons and brooches that seized public attention. The "Eisenberg Original" mark was first used around 1938. These jewels, produced during World War II, featured brilliant Swarovski crystals set in sterling silver.
