An ebullient bow brooch from the important German jewelry manufacturer Fahrner Jewelry. Two styles of sterling silver "ribbon" are paired to form a large, three-dimensional brooch. One "ribbon" is engraved with a grosgrain-like texture and studded intermittently with marcasites. The other "ribbon" has crisp open work edges and marcasite pavé. A creamy pearl sits at the center of the brooch. Instantly recognizable as a Fahrner piece, it bears the Fahrner mark on the back. Such a festive piece, it radiates Holiday spirit. Circa 1950.

Fahrner produced some of Europe's most exciting and innovative jewelry in the 20th Century. Theodor Fahrner was one of Germany's first jewelry manufacturers. He exhibited at the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris, winning the Silver Medal for Jewelry. After Fahrner died in 1919, Gustav Braendle succeeded him and retained the "Fahrner-Jewelry" brand name.

Details.....The brooch measures 1.73" by 1.64" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
