Sheaves of wheat represent enduring love, and the sentiment of two overlapping circles, each with a wheat sheaf is so very romantic, and romance is so very French. The open and lacy design of the wheat within the circle and the tiny twinkling rose cut diamonds as well as the platinum topped 18k yellow gold tell us this brooch dates from the belle epoch era. The brooch is hallmarked on the edge with the French hallmark for 18k gold. All of the little things about this lovely jewel make it a perfect love token. Circa 1900.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.34" x .77". In very good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it a part of their charm.
