Heavenly Cushion Cut Sapphire & Diamond Halo Ring

This heavenly 19th Century sapphire ring wears a halo of sublime antique diamonds. The .70ct cushion cut sapphire has an intense indigo blue color. Ten old European cut diamonds, with a .47 total carat weight, are set in a sparkling corona around the center gem. The gemstone cluster is displayed in 14k gold, multi prong-set in a low-profile wire gallery above a grooved tapered band. This piece would make a divine engagement ring. The sapphire has GIA report number 1236962009; it originated in Madagascar, and shows no sign of heat treating. Circa 1890.

Details.....Currently a size 6.5. The top of the ring measures 9mm by 10mm and the band is 1.6mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
