This gorgeous example of an Egyptian jewel features a hand carved Gem Quality Lapis Lazuli Scarab in a classical Egyptian swivel top ring. The back of the deep blue scarab has a group of hieroglyphs carved in it. The heavy 22k yellow gold bezel holds the scarab, pinned to a luxurious heavy 22k gold band accented by a twisted golden rope. The ring dates to the early 20thc.
Details.....The scarab measures 15.6mm x 20.5mm, including the frame, and the band measures 5.2mm. The ring fits like a 5, I will not size this ring. As a collector's item, this jewel should be treated with care. In Excellent condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
