Orchid-Colored Crystal Eisenberg Brooch

Swarovski crystals in soft lilac hues are set in this gorgeous Eisenberg brooch. It's an abstract form, yet it recalls an exotic orchid. Round, marquise, and pear stones are carefully prong-set in silver-tone metal, creating an exuberant burst of pastel color. Delicate rhinestone-set waves accent the sparkling stones. The piece fastens with a secure rollover clasp. Marked "Eisenberg" in block letters on its back. Circa 1950.

Eisenberg & Sons is an esteemed American jewelry company that makes high-quality costume jewelry. Jonas Eisenberg established the company in Chicago in 1914, offering high-end womenswear. But, it was the clothing's ornate buttons and brooches that seized public attention. In the 1930s, the company launched a line of jewelry that used dazzling Swarovski crystals in innovative designs called Eisenberg Ice.
