Moons were a popular motif at the turn of the 20th Century; mysticism entered into every area of life as people contemplated the new century and what it might bring. This petite sliver of a crescent moon brooch is crafted in 14k gold, with a graduated curve of natural pearls set along the crescent's arc. A high polish shines brightly on each of the crescent's points. This sweet piece fastens with a secure rollover clasp. It's the size of a lingerie pin, little and lightweight. Circa 1900.
Details.....The crescent is .86" long and measures 2.3mm at its widest point. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
