A superb Victorian brooch of starry opal-studded gold. The star's many rays are set with Australian opals that graduate in size, from the largest at the center to the tiniest at the point. Wear it as a brooch or use the hidden pendant bale and hang the piece on your favourite chain. Circa 1900.
