The synthetic sapphires in these saucy 14k gold drop earrings have the most unusual periwinkle-purple color, almost like alexandrite without the color change. The round, faceted gems are prong set in open-back bezels that swing within gold haloes. The drops hang on short segments of cable chain from locking French ear wires. Lots of light, color, and movement make these eye-catching earrings special. Circa 1940.
Details: The earrings measure 1.70" long and .56" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
