Tiered Sterling & Crystal Eisenberg Original Brooch

An elaborate sterling silver and Swarovski crystal fur clip signed Eisenberg Original. Tiers of lacy silver form a petaled dome; a large oval crystal is center-set, framed in marquise-set spokes and clusters of small round stones. The clip's long double prongs originally pierced heavy furs, but they will work equally well on any heavy fabric. Signed on the back "Eisenberg Original." Circa 1930.

Eisenberg & Sons is an esteemed American jewelry company that makes high-quality costume jewelry. Jonas Eisenberg established the company in Chicago in 1914, offering high-end womenswear. But, it was the clothing's ornate buttons and brooches that seized public attention. The "Eisenberg Original" mark was first used around 1938. These jewels, produced during World War II, featured brilliant Swarovski crystals set in sterling silver.

Details: The brooch measures 1.9" by 2.15". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
