Washington DC 1903 Pretty Pocket Watch

The pretty porcelain dial says M Goldsmith & Son. The case is a pretty heavily gold sheeted one typical of the period and showing a swath of leaves and vines with a small initial plate. The reverse is a similar design with the addition of a homey scene. The inner dust cover is engraved with the date July 25, '03 Washington D.C. The works are signed with M. Goldsmith & Son Washington, D.C. The watch winds, sets, and runs well. It will look stunning worn on one of our Ancient Influences married chains. Circa 1903.

This smaller size was traditionally worn by women attached to a neck chain and could also be tucked in a waist band. I wish I knew the occasion of July 2 1903 for which this watch was presented.

Details.....The watch measures 1.39" in diameter, 1.93" with the crown. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
