A glowing antique sapphire is set in this glossy 14k gold band. The wonderful .69ct sapphire is cut en cabochon; the gem dates to circa 1900, the era of Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts design that elevated the moody smolder of a cabochon gem over the hard sparkle of a faceted stone. The oval sapphire is flush-set horizontally in the curvaceous half round, comfort fit band, nary a hard angle to be found in this sensual ring.
