Spark up a conversation with this Turn of the 19th Century tinderbox. The 900 grade silver tinderbox is shaped like a little book with a removable flint holder. It is engraved on both sides with classic pinstripes and chevrons; the front has an oval plaque edged in blue enamel, the perfect spot for an engraved monogram. The box has a bale with jump ring, it originally would hang from an Edwardian gentleman's watch chain. A tiny spade-shaped stamp is located on the spine of the "book," with the initials "CR" in script engraved inside. The bottom of the box is marked "2409" and "900." Quite beautifully constructed with fine details. Circa 1900.

Details.....The tinderbox measures 1.31" by 0.81. tall". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.

Item number x102.
