This sterling silver English medal fob is very aesthetically pleasing and in nice condition. The medal is round with a border of lovely Neoclassical flourishes. A shield sits at the center, hand engraved with the initials "ME." The back of the medal is engraved with the personal inscription "St. Helens School Streatham Drill Comp. 1930." This fob will look smashing worn on one of our Ancient Influences married chains.

The back of the medal is hallmarked for Birmingham, sterling silver and the year 1928. It bears the maker's mark "HB&S" for Birmingham silver smith Herbert Bushell & Co Ltd.

St Helen's School is a British day school for girls located in North West London. It was founded in 1899 by the apparently quite egalitarian May Rowland Brown, when the school she had been teaching at refused to take in any students that were connected with trade.

Details.....The medal measures 0.94" by 1.20". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
