A very elegant sterling silver English medal fob, dating to the Art Deco era. The circular medal depicts a balanced cross, with engraved edges and stippled texture on the arms. Laurel leaves are beautifully engraved in the interstices between the arms. A round plaque sits at the center of the cross, hand engraved with the initials "EB." The back of the medal is engraved with the personal inscription "K.S.S.A. Relay 1922." This fob will look lovely worn on one of our Ancient Influences married chains.
The back of the medal is hallmarked for London, sterling silver and the year 1921. It is signed with the maker's mark S.J.R for silver smith S.J. Rose & Son.
Sale items are final sales. No returns, no exchanges and no refunds, please.
K.S.S.A. is the acronym for the Kent Schools Swimming Association. Kent Schools Swimming Association holds annual championships for pupils from affiliated Primary and Secondary schools. I wonder how old E.B. was when he or she won the relay?
Details.....The medal measures 1.01" by 1.16". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
