This is a bubble pipe, it was quite fashionable for Ladies to have one of these in their reticule in at the turn of the 20thc to blow bubbles with during garden parties. The Flappers of the 1920's also enjoyed blowing bubbles with their little pipes. Children blew bubbles using less fancy ceramic pipes. This earliest way of blowing soap bubbles dates back to the mid 1700's. This Russian Niello bubble pipe was made at the turn of the 20th Century, shortly before the Bolshevik Revolution. The pipe is made of 900 grade silver, with a checkerboard niello enamel pattern. Circa 1900.
Details.....The pipe measures 2.22" long. The stem is 1.69" by .16" and the bowl measures .48" by .41". In Very Good Antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
