This enchanting 18th Century ring reminds us of a ballerina wearing a delicate tiara. A teardrop-shaped turquoise cabochon sits under a diamond crown. Golden arcs with silver-set rose-cut diamonds curl about the top of the turquoise, with an old mine cushion-cut diamond sparkling at the center of the crown. The silver and gemstones are layered over rich 18k gold, nestled in closed-back settings with a slender band. The effect is so charming, one of those faery jewels we love so much. Circa 1760.
This ring is nearly 300 years old; she is as fragile as she is beautiful. Please note that you Do Not want to get foiled closed-back gems wet; it will darken the stones.
Details... Currently a size 8. The top of the ring measures 16mm by 18.1mm, and the band is 2.3mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition, with wear in keeping with its age. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
