Antique Rose Cut Diamond & 18k Portuguese Ring

Nine rose cut diamonds spangle the bursting petals of this enchanting early 19th Century ring. An 18k gold tear drop sits within a ring of delicate gold fronds. Diamonds are set at center and in each petal, peeking out from closed-back and foiled, rub-over settings in the distinctive Portuguese style. The interior of the ring's decorative top is engraved, and set over a wide, flat band. This rare, antique jewel is as fragile as it is beautiful, it should be worn with care. Please note that you Do Not want to get foiled closed back gems wet, it will darken the stones. Circa 1820.

Details.....This ring is a size 7, it cannot be sized. The thin, flat band makes the ring fit more tightly than a typical size 7. The top measures 15.7mm by 20mm and the band is 4mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
