This tasteful mother of pearl cufflink and shirt stud set is from the perennial favorite manufacturer of men's accessories, Swank. Elegant in its simplicity, the face of each piece is a disc of glowing white mother of pearl, engraved with a subtle stepped edge. The cufflinks are the chain link style popular during this era, and the set includes two types of studs: four larger studs, and three smaller studs. Presented in a maroon velvet and ivory satin box with golden details. The interior is marked "SWANK." Swank has you covered for every occasion, it would seem, and the original box makes it ideal for gifting. Circa 1920.
Samuel Stone and Maurice Baer founded the Attleboro Manufacturing Company in the USA in 1897. By 1927, they were using the name Swank. They began making cufflinks in 1918, and these were so successful they stopped making women's jewelry to focus entirely on men's accessories until the present day.
Details.....The cufflink face measures .47" in diameter, one stud face is .47", the other is .29" in diameter, and the box measures 5" by 2.96". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
