This fabulous Peruvian brooch depicts a bird in a stylized traditional manner. The bird is in 18k gold, with extended wings and a bright turquoise eye. He sits on a concave tri-oval of hammered and oxidized sterling silver, creating a striking graphic effect. The back of the brooch is signed "El Cuzco" and "18k 925." There is something quite vivacious about this piece; the bird is wonderful. Circa 1950.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.68" by 1.14". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
