Ornate Chinese Aventurine & Enamel Silver Gilt Necklace

A ornate Chinese pendant featuring a disc of aventurine, haloed in filigree and enamel. Each side of the disc has a different golden Chinese character set in its center. Enamel flowers in shades of blue, purple, and green are applied to a ring of lacy silver gilt that frames the stone. The pendant hangs on a fancy link silver gilt chain. Circa 1970.
