Vivid Green Malachite Inlay in Sterling Silver Bangle

This Mexican sterling silver bangle is inlaid with gorgeous green malachite. The bracelet itself is a half round silver ring. Arcs of luscious green-striated stone are inset at the piece's cardinal points, and silver wire is wrapped at its ordinal points. A simple design with maximum dramatic impact. Signed "Mexico," and with a Taxco assay mark. Circa 1970.

In the 20th Century, Taxco, Mexico drew jewelry artists from all over the world. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the locally mined supply of materials. 

Details.....The bangle measures 3.28" in diameter, .37" wide, and the inner circumference is 8.15". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
