An Art Nouveau amethyst and gold bracelet, with wonderful whiplash lines and a stylized serpentine motif. 14k gold panels are pierced and engraved with an exquisite design, then bezel set with a vibrant amethyst. The panels are linked by small gold rings and the piece fastens with an integrated clasp. Amethyst and yellow gold were a very à la mode combination during this romantic era. This piece is beautifully constructed, supple with a satisfying weight. Circa 1900.
Details.....The bracelet is 7" long, and each panel measures 0.44" by 0.71". The piece weighs 14.4 grams. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
