This adorable Austrian brooch and earring set features juicy red Lucite apples set with sparkling magenta crystals. The fat apples are very appealing. Each apple is capped in a metal stem and leaves, enameled with naturalistic green details. The brooch fastens with a rollover pin, the earrings are clip on. So sweet. Circa 1950.
Lucite is an engineering plastic trademarked in the United States in the late 1930s. Light and translucent, it is often used as an alternative to glass.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.45" by 1.81", the earrings measure .97" by 1.05". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your antique and vintage jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
