The silver Chinese jewelry from between 1900 and 1920 is quite fine and always beautifully hand crafted, often incorporating much older gems and pearls from more traditional jewels. This incredibly crafted brooch has a beautifully engraved and detailed butterfly sitting on a large pearl which is set in a many petaled flower. As was usual with these pieces the silver is always a high grade closer to 980, as a comparison sterling silver is 925. Circa 1920.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.98" long and .98" at its widest point. In Excellent Antique Condition. Some wear should be expected on all vintage and antique pieces; we consider it to be part of their charm.
