Daisies & Sapphire Two Tone Filigree Bar Pin

An exquisitely crafted bar pin of 14k white and yellow gold filigree, set at center with a Montana sapphire. The slender, elongated white gold oval is pierced and engraved with a pattern of daisies. A round Montana sapphire sits at center in a canted square bezel, it has the cornflower blue hue so valued in these gems. The white gold is layered over a yellow gold frame and clasp. The technique of layering two tone metals is used beautifully here, adding dimension to the brooch. The pin secures with a safety clasp. A delightful piece, it's the perfect weight for light weight or knit fabrics. Circa 1920.
