Dynamic Sterling & Rhinestone Retro Brooch by Mazer

A dynamic Retro brooch from the renown costume jewelry maker Mazer Bros. A stylized seashell, sculpted in sterling silver, flares around a half cylinder of emerald-cut, aqua-colored rhinestones edged in small clear, round stones. Organic and Industrial forms come together to create a big, bold brooch that is ideal for wear on heavier fabrics. The piece fastens with a secure rollover clasp and is signed "Mazer Sterling." Circa 1940.

Mazer Bros, founded by Lincoln and Joseph Mazer in 1927 in New York, produced fine costume jewelry until the late 1970s. Early pieces were signed Mazer Bros, later pieces were signed either Mazer or Jomaz.

Details.....The brooch measures 2.61" by 3". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
