An elevated European brooch featuring an antique photograph ringed in diamonds and pearls. The 14k gold circle brooch is so elevated, with a frame of alternating pearl-set fleur de lis and tiny rose cut diamonds. The photograph is a portrait of a Continental gentleman, more dapper than handsome, wearing a very fine mustache. The backside bears European marks, and the brooch fastens with a Victorian c-clasp. An unusual and very personal piece. Circa 1870.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.36" in diameter. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
