Jaunty Mazer Bros. Feather & Bow Brooch

This jaunty Mazer Bros. brooch anticipates the Retro design movement. A pert little bow is tied around the shaft of a stylized feather; two-tone costume metal emphasizes the three dimensional piece's depth. Dazzling white rhinestones accentuate the brooch's dynamic lines. As we often see in Mazer Bros. jewels, organic and industrial forms come together to make an interesting aesthetic statement. This large brooch has a long rollover pin, the piece is ideal for wear on heavier fabrics. Circa 1930.

Mazer Bros, founded by Lincoln and Joseph Mazer in 1927 in New York, produced fine costume jewelry until the late 1970s. Early pieces were signed Mazer Bros, later pieces were signed either Mazer or Jomaz.

Details.....The brooch measures 4.20" by 1.75". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
