A Mid-Century brooch with the classic giardinetti, or "little garden," motif reimagined in the Retro style. A silver-tone flower basket paved with petite white rhinestones. Aquamarine-colored pear and baguette cut rhinestones represent the pretty flowers. This exquisite little brooch is signed on the back "Joseph Wiesner N.Y." Circa 1940.
Wiesner's highly collectible jewelry is distinguished by its classic designs and sparkling Austrian crystals. This successful company was short-lived due to scandalous legal problems, definitely worth a Google.
Details: The brooch measures 1.67" by 1.25". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
