Here's a scruffy little hobo terrier, with a jaunty straw cap and green kerchief. Hobo is short for homeward bound, and we like to think this little guy is nearly there. The dog's face and tail are chestnut and his body is translucent. Sculpted in lightweight Lucite, this brooch is perfect for lighter fabrics. Circa 1940.
Lucite is an engineering plastic trademarked in the United States in the late 1930s. Light and translucent, it is often used as an alternative to glass.
Details.....The brooch measures 3.15" by 1.85". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your antique and vintage jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
