During the Art Deco era, Chinese design was all the rage in the West. Women adorned themselves in jewelry from China, and carved gemstones in traditional designs were very popular. This exquisite brooch features an oval piece of dark green jade, delicately carved and pierced into a luxuriant pattern of flowers and leaves. The jade is prong set in an understated frame of scalloped silver gilt. The brooch fastens with a simple c-clasp. Circa 1930.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.70" by 1.15". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
