A superb Crown Trifari peacock feather brooch. As with many imaginative jewels, the brooch's motif is open to interpretation. It could possible have a botanical motif, but I think it's a peacock feather. The feather's barbs are set with round and baguette-cut white rhinestones, the delicate barbs appear to be blowing in the wind. The eye is a cluster of indigo-blue, elongated marquise-cut rhinestones. The stones are set in the finely crafted silver-tone costume brooch that clasps with a rollover pin. This exquisite piece is signed with the Crown Trifari mark. Circa 1955.

Trifari was a very collectible, high-end costume jewelry manufacturer producing during the 20th Century. Designer Alfred Philippe was the head designer for Trifari from 1930 until 1968. Philippe also designed for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Details.....This brooch measures 1.4" by 3.32". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
