Breathtaking Green & White Rhinestone Bracelet Signed Schaperelli

A mysterious bracelet set with emerald-cut, emerald-green crystals framed in icy-white rhinestones. The stones are set in ornate blackened costume metal links that highlight the drama of the sparkling "gems." This bracelet fastens with a slide clasp and safety chain, and it is signed "Schaperelli" on its back. Some Schiaparelli experts believe the "Schaperelli" signature indicates the piece is a fake, while others believe is was a mistake made by Schiaparelli's manufacturer. Will we ever know the truth? Probably not, but this breathtaking bracelet is dreamy either way. Circa 1970.

Elsa Schiaparelli was a prominent Italian fashion designer. In 1927, she created the house of Schiaparelli in Paris, which she managed from the 1930s to the 1950s. She was celebrated for her surreal designs. Schiap, as she was often known, collaborated with Salvador Dalí and Jean Cocteau, and Coco Chanel was her greatest rival.
